어린이도서관에서 살펴본 책들. 

Time for Kids Level 1책들.  

도서관에서 처음 본 시리즈인데 픽션&논픽션이 섞여 있어 교육적으로 좋은 책이긴 한데 재미는 없다. 

부모님이 사준다면 별로 좋아하지 않을 시리즈인건 분명하다. 

ORT가 성인이 봐도 그럭저럭 재미있는 리더스 시리즈라면 Time for Kids시리즈는 어른의 시각에서 좋은책이다. 

 

1.a frog's life J3
when the eggs hatch, tadpolescome out

some spiders help to get rid of insects that cause trouble.
spiders have two main body parts and eight legs. they also have spinnerets to make silk.

3.a butterfly's life J3
finally, the eggs hatch. a caterpillar comes out of each egg. later, each caterpillar becomes a pupa. inside its hard shell, the pupa change.
next the butterfly breaks out of pupa.

3.things with wings
woosh woosh do you hear a flutter?
do you hear a flap? you may be hearing wings-wings on things!
many things have wings 
how many things with wings can you name?
some wings cannot flu. they have other job to do. wings can put on quite a show.

4.sea life
sea horses live on shallow water. they hold on to seaweed. sea urchins live in tide pools. they are both small creatures that come and go with the tides.anglerfish can live in the deep sea. each anglerfish has a fin with its own light. many sea animals live near coral reefs. the coral has many places where animals can hide.
forests of sea plants grow from the ocean bottom to the light above.

5.make paper picado J3
it is made in Mexico for special days such as weddings and birthdays. many designs are used in paper picado.birds and flowers are often used.
you can have fun making paper picado
first gather what you need
get paper in many bright colors too
to start choose one sheet of colored paper.
fold the top edge.
this is called the string fold. it makes a space for the string.
fold the paper in half.
lay your paper picado in a line.
cut a long piece of string.
tuck the string inside the top fold of the paper. tape the fold down.

6.make a Chinese new year dragon J3
cut apart the egg carton to make small cups for the body.
use the hole punch to make two holes in each cup. the holes should be across from each other. choose one egg carton cup for the heD and paint the inside black.

7.make a gingerbread man J3
you can make a craft that looks like a ginger bread man

8.keepping fit with sports J3
in basketball, players earn points when they shoot the ball through a basket.
soccer takes quick feet.
people can race on foot, and some people race in wheelchairs

9.eating right
eating right means eating healthy food.
chew with your mouth closed

10.staying healthy J3
11.places around the world
you don't have to go anywhere to see wonderful places. you can just turn the page
the Amazon River is in Brazil. it carries more water than any other river in the world.
there is also lush, green land in Africa.

12.homes around the world. J3
this home is a cottage. it sits near a lake.

13.kids around the world J3
no matter where kids live, they are a lot like you.

14. a bee's life J3
the queen  runs the hive.she lays many eggs
soon each eggs become a larva.
the larva changes into a pupa. then the pupa opens. out comes an adult bee.
it buzzes from flower to flower
 to get sweet nectar.
